The Empowering Favor of God’s Promises: How to Step Into Your Future Now

Have you ever felt like your life was stuck in a chapter that didn’t reflect your true story?

Maybe you're walking through a season of uncertainty, holding onto the edge of a promise God gave long ago or a feeling in your heart that life isn’t what YOU thought it should or would be.

What if I told you that your current circumstances aren't the end of your story—but simply the place where God's “favor” meets His “promise” to launch your next chapter of living YOUR life to the fullest?

Even if you did not know about these promises of God, they are and have always been there. This “favor” stuff is God working in our lives providing us with “sign post” which give each of us a choice of what direction we take NOW in order to move forward, closer to experiencing a super-abundant life in its fullest.

[John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly
(exceeding abundantly, supremely)
Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us,]

In a world filled with noise, delays, distractions and disappointment, the “favor” of God stands as a quiet but powerful force in OUR lives. And wherever His “favor” shows up, a promise is always nearby.

This is more than just divine encouragement—it’s a call to upgrade your identity and walk in alignment with the truth of how God already sees YOU [us] and how He wants YOU [us] to see ourselves.

[Romans 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with
our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Romans 8:17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God,
and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.
John 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my
Father, and ye in me, and I in you.]

His promises are not random—they are intentional, strategic, and packed with potential to lift YOU [us] out of our current view and elevate US into His eternal vision.

God sees who we really are as He always sees the Christ in “US” which we have the potential to manifest. His “favors”, sign-post, provide “US” with the option of choosing the best path for our lives, or not.

Regardless of what choice WE make, He always provides us “favor” which gives US a choice to re-adjust to our best path of life.

Think of Abraham in Genesis 17 and 18. He was simply hoping for a son. God, however, called him the father of many nations.
Abraham’s identity was shifted by God’s promise long before the evidence ever showed up in the natural world.

The same is true for YOU [US]. God's promises are designed to pull YOUR [OUR] future into the present.

As we expect and acknowledge the promise that God will ALWAYS have a “favor” which will progress us toward living “life more abundantly” [John 10:10 & Ephesians 3:20] as part of His intention for each of US.

Let’s unpack four key ways that “favor” and “promises” work together to empower OUR journey:

1. Promises Reveal God's Heart Toward You
When favor shows up, it's not just to make life more comfortable—it's to help US understand how deeply God is invested in OUR journey. Promises lift US up to see ourself the way He sees US.
No matter what chapter we’re in, OUR story is being authored by a
God who speaks from OUR future, not OUR past.

2. Promises Upgrade Your Identity
God never leaves you where He finds you. When He calls US by His promise, He’s not speaking based on OUR current situation—He’s addressing US from OUR future identity.

Just as Abraham was called a father before he had children, YOU [we] too are being called by what you’re [we are] becoming, not what YOU [we] currently are, but who God sees us as.
Favor helps US embrace this identity in the NOW!

3. Promises Disempower Disappointment
Disappointment loses its grip when you understand the process between promise and fulfillment.
God’s favor acts like a bridge—it closes the gap.
While you’re waiting, His favor keeps your heart anchored in hope and reminds you of the “yes and amen” of every word He’s spoken over you (2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.)
You stop surviving and start thriving, even in the waiting.

4. Favor is the Catalyst for Living Present-Future
God doesn’t just visit our past—He redeems it. He doesn’t dwell in regret; He lives in revelation.
He’s the God of “present-future,” standing with us now, while speaking to us from the fullness of what He sees ahead.

“Favor” pulls tomorrow’s promise into today’s decisions.
It stirs us to run with Him, not at our pace, but His.

So how do we walk this out practically?

By partnering with the Holy Spirit.

Every situation you face is an invitation to lean into the identity God is unfolding in us. “Favor” gives us acceleration—what used to take years can now take months, weeks, even moments.

It’s time to take action—not just any action, but spirit-led, promise-aligned action.

Start here:
🔹 Reflect: What has God promised you that you’ve forgotten or dismissed [what gave you joy, peace and/or fulfillment?]
🔹 Receive: Say YES to the identity He’s already given you, even if the evidence hasn’t arrived yet.
🔹 Respond: Speak out your promises.
Write them out.
Pray them.
Live like they are already true—because in His eyes, they are.

[ Remember: Matthew 7:7
Ask [to demand or claim what is due], and it shall be given
you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened
unto you:
Mat 7:8   For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that
seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be
opened.]

Here’s a crafted prayer to activate this mindset:
Father, thank You for the promises You’ve deposited
in my present and future. I accept them as sure and
certain—exceedingly great and precious. I choose to
partner with the Holy Spirit and live in Your empowering
presence. I rejoice that in You, Your promises are “yes” and
“amen.” I open my heart fully to the favor You’ve placed on
my life, walking as a joint heir with Jesus. Amen.

Don’t settle for a portion when God is offering fullness. Favor isn't just something you experience—it's a lifestyle you grow into. Let His promises be your permission slip to dream bigger, believe deeper, and live stronger.
Let God pull your future into your present

and walk boldly in the empowering favor of His
promises today!
