Living in YOUR NOW Crisis. How to Recognize God’s “Favor!”
3 video: In times of crisis, God’s favor isn’t missing—it’s actively shaping you through the struggle. Discover how to recognize His presence, shift your focus, and grow stronger in peace, purpose, and identity through every challenge.
When Life Doesn’t Make Sense, “Favor” Still Does.
In a world that often feels like a rollercoaster—skyrocketing prices, health worries, and political turmoil—it’s all too easy to think that God’s “favor” has gone missing. You’ve prayed, you’ve held onto your faith, but it seems like nothing is changing. So, where can you find God’s “favor” in all this chaos?
Here’s the reality: God’s “favor” isn’t absent during tough times; it’s just hidden within them. Many people equate “favor” to obvious blessings. But as Graham Cooke beautifully puts it,
“favor” isn’t always visible at first glance.
Sometimes, it’s woven into the very challenges you’re facing. If you can learn to spot it, you’ll shift from asking
“Why me?” to “What’s the lesson here?” ________________________________________
The Problem: Crisis Feels Like Abandonment
When life throws us a curveball, our instinct is to wonder if God is still by our side.
We might even start to question the promises we’ve clung to.
Heb 13:5 …… for He hath said, I will never
leave thee, nor forsake thee.
But here’s the key to recognizing “favor’’:
God has already paved the way for you. This means He’s prepared for what you’re going through. You’re not just trying to find “favor”—you’re learning to see it.
Deuteronomy 31:6️
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid
and do not panic before them. For the Lord your
God will personally go ahead of you.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before
you and will be with you.”

The Solution: Shift Your Focus
“Favor” isn’t about dodging difficulties. It’s about experiencing God’s goodness right in the midst of them. Here’s how to start changing your perspective:
1. Don’t let the crisis define who you are. The
situation is real, but it doesn’t have to be your identity.
"Favor" is what defines you.
2. Ask, “Who does God want to be for me right now? [ staying
peaceful, focused, having clarity etc.”] Instead of fixating on
the problem, lean into your relationship with Him.
3. Let “favor” fight for you. You don’t have to tackle any battle
alone.
“Favor” steps in when your own strength runs out.

The Takeaway: You’re Being Trained in Favor
Every single day you choose to embrace God’s goodness, you’re building up your spiritual strength.
2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power { *dunamis, inherent power, power residing
in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing
exerts and puts forth } and of love { brotherly love }, and of a
sound mind { soundness of mind and self-control }.
[*Note JBB: YOU and I already have this in us and through our "FREE WILL" WE choose to exert it or not. It is OUR choice!]
That’s the essence of “favor”—it equips you to rise above the storms of life instead of being weighed down by them. You might not see changes right away, but what you will discover is something even more valuable:
a sense of peace, joy, and resilience. ________________________________________
